FordEcat is enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Ford users! Once established during the first login, this will make logging in much faster.
Notes:
- This is for Ford Users only (i.e. users with valid CDS ID).
- This change is effective for all new users onboarding in Ford, not just FordEcat.
- Active Directory sign-in option will be disabled at a later date.
Logging in as a dealer/other user? See Logging On to FordEcat for instructions.
Note: Authenticator app must be set up before you can begin. For instructions, view Re-Registering Authenticator on Your New iPhone or Entra ID MFA Registration Methods.
To log in using multi-factor authentication (MFA):
- Navigate to https://www.ecat.dealerconnection.com/.
- Choose Multi-Factor Authentication from the list of login options.
- Enter your Ford CDSID in the provided field and click Next.
- Based on your Microsoft Authenticator app setup, choose the appropriate option and follow the prompts (Face, PIN, Use another device).
- If you haven't set up the Authenticator app, use the following documents to get started:
- In the Stay signed in? prompt, choose Yes to stay signed in. (Choose No if you should be logged out in between sessions.)
- The FordEcat homepage will display.
